Dear WildHub Community,
My name is Gilles Rolin Ananfack Kenfack, and I’m honored to join this vibrant network of conservation professionals. I am the Founder and Executive Director of BAMBOUCAMER, an organization dedicated to environmental sustainability through the innovative use of bamboo. Our work focuses on leveraging bamboo as a solution to pressing environmental challenges, including biodiversity conservation, land restoration, sustainable construction, and natural resource management.
At BAMBOUCAMER, my vision is to promote bamboo as a key player in sustainable development—one that not only combats deforestation and soil degradation but also offers economic opportunities to local communities. We believe in a holistic approach to environmental protection, where nature conservation is integrated with the livelihoods of the people who depend on it.
Before founding BAMBOUCAMER, I served as the Director of Programs at CASuDev (Community Association for Sustainable Development), where I led initiatives aimed at conserving biodiversity, protecting the environment, and mitigating climate change. This role allowed me to work closely with communities to promote sustainable natural resource management and foster environmental awareness.
With BAMBOUCAMER, my goal is to expand these efforts, using bamboo as a powerful tool to address the growing threats to biodiversity and the environment. I’m passionate about blending ecological sustainability with community development to create solutions that are both practical and impactful.
I’m excited to connect with fellow WildHub members to share experiences, learn from your expertise, and collaborate on projects that drive meaningful change in conservation. Please feel free to reach out if you’re interested in discussing potential collaborations or simply exchanging knowledge.
Thank you to Thirza Loffeld and the WildHub team for providing this platform for us to connect and grow.
Best regards,
Gilles Rolin Ananfack Kenfack
