For International Women’s Day 2024, The Nature Conservancy is proud to launch dedicated training to address one of the most pervasive problems related to women and girls: gender-based violence (GBV). Around the world, in developed nations and emerging economies alike, 1 in 3 women are affected by GBV, and conservation is not immune. Conservation and climate programs that don’t consider gender inequality and which fail to understand gender and social norms can worsen conditions and even cause harm. We all have a responsibility to address this. |
Designed in consultation with many women and girls, our training reflects their lived experiences and is for all staff and partners in the sector. |
