My name is Bledi Hoxha. I am a biologist and work as a mammals expert and project manager (interested more in large carnivores research and conservation, such as brown bear, wolf, and Balkan lynx) at PPNEA NGO, in Albania. I have experience in monitoring and researching endangered species such as the Balkan lynx. Since 2015, I am coordinating the Balkan Lynx Recovery Programme in Albania. Also, in 2021,  I completed the MAVA Leaders for Nature Academy.

Hello Bledi.

I think we were in a group yesterday during the course. I recently visited your country, amazing mountains, is the picture in the background at Girokaster?. I didn't know there is lynx in Albania. Cheers!

Hello Cesar.

Thank you for contacting me! I am happy to hear that you have been in Albania. Yes, it is a beautiful country. The picture in the background is Munella Mountain (a Nature Park declared currently) and one of the Balkan lynx reproduction areas located in the central-north region of Albania. If you need more information on lynx presence and its status in Albania, I am glad to share it with you.

Cheers and happy to see you soon in the next live session course.
