Hello, I am Beth

A hello from me

Welcome to the Strategy Development online training workshop message board!

My name is Beth and I shall be co-delivering this workshop with Lucy who will introduce herself in a separate post.

I have been working with WildTeam for over four years and love my job. Outside of work, I like road cycling, paddleboarding, running, being surrounded by trees, exploring new places, and sewing (that is just the highlights, I generally have too many hobbies!). ๐ŸŒณ๐Ÿšดโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ„โ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿงทโœ‚๏ธ

Really looking forward to meeting you all and hearing your stories. It would be great if everyone took the time introduce yourself on here, tell us a bit about yourself, where you are based, why you are doing this training workshop and perhaps include a photo of yourself (not everyone has a profile picture that is easy to see their face or even of them!).ย

This message board is for sharing training materials, sharing resources and information you think others here might be interested in, asking questions, supporting each other, reflecting on what we have learnt and getting to know each other. I hope you find it useful.

Some of you I know from previous training workshops, so welcome back! To those who are new, I am looking forward to getting to know you.ย

Thanks ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿฏ

WildLearning Specialist, WildTeam

I'm a WildLearning Specialist with WildTeam, a bit of a odd job title. My main role is to design, deliver and organise both our online and class-based training workshops. One of the best parts of my job is meeting other conservationists and learning about the work that they do. I really enjoy geeking out reading teaching theory and thinking about ways I can more creatively and engagingly deliver learning. Before working for WildTeam I did a PhD in invasive plants and human wildlife interactions. I find it really interesting to learn about the ways people interact with nature, both when nature is being wonderful, but also when is is being a bit annoying!
