Hi everyone,
I have recently joined WildHub as a Community Advocate and looking forward to connect with all of you.
With an interdisciplinary background in environmental social sciences and humanities, I have extensive knowledge in water resource management and water governance in the UK and the EU. My research interests include human-water relationships, climate change impacts (specifically extreme weather events), ecosystem degradation and biodiversity loss. For example, in the past I investigated cases of river restoration and dam removals in Northern and Southern Europe while more recently my doctoral dissertation explored floods in their historical and social dimensions with a case study in North-East England.
I have been in academia for the last ten years but very keen to change my career path. I would love to join an environmental nonprofit, working to create a world where people and nature can thrive.
Looking forward to exciting discussions on this wonderful platform and virtual meet-ups!
