Hi everyone, I'm Ellie, from Cornwall in the UK. I'm currently job hunting but have previously worked as a field researcher for Seafish, conducting a socio-economic survey of the UK fishing fleet and as Rainforest Partnerships Coordinator at Cool Earth, running partnerships with local NGOs to tackle rainforest conservation by supporting local communities. I'm particularly interested in marine conservation, marine infrastructure development and its overlaps with marine conservation, BBNJ, high seas and seabed management beyond EEZs, and climate and environmental ethics and policy with a focus on climate justice. I'm considering looking for PhDs on one of these areas in the future. I have a master's in Environment and Development from Edinburgh and a BA (hons) in Theology and Religious Studies (bit of a pivot to environmental social science after that for me!) Great to meet everyone.
