Hi, I'm Kelly!
My name is Kelly Forsythe and in my current position I am part of the grant administration team at LTS International for the UK Government's Darwin Initiative, Darwin Plus (working in the UK Overseas Territories) and Illegal Wildlife Trade (IWT) Challenge Fund. Through my role I provide technical and administrative support to project teams and am the main point of contact for the IWT Challenge Fund projects. Additionally, I manage the communications for all funds via social media and through the production of our quarterly newsletters.
Prior to this I was a research and field station assistant at the Central Caribbean Marine Institute (CCMI) in Little Cayman where I worked alongside in house and visiting researchers and the education team to help raise awareness on the importance of coral reefs. I have a background in marine biology having completed my MSc in Marine Systems and Policies at the University of Edinburgh and my BSc (in Marine Biology) at the University of Stirling. Although I'm originally from the Cayman Islands, Scotland definitely has a special place in my heart!
I look forward to virtually meeting you all later today and improving my understanding on project management to allow me to better support projects doing important work on the ground.
