Hi everyone, my name is Fiona Tande and I'm a wildlife conservationist turned filmmaker from and based in Kenya. I'm the founder of Pridelands Films, a company I'm using to champion the involvement of more local storytellers in natural history narratives. I'm currently organizing Kenya's first ever wildlife film festival (Pridelands Wildlife Film Fest) and would love the support and guidance of the Wild Hub community. I joined Wild Hub to engage with folks from different disciplines as I'm a firm believer that different perspectives are the best baseline for successful collaborations. I look forward to connecting with you all here and perhaps someday in person.

Thank you Carolyn! My journey into natural history filmmaking has been challenging but I hope that through this initiative, I can help break barriers I face and make it easier for local filmmakers interested in wildlife, conservation and science storytelling to find a place in the industry. We'd be happy for science communicators like you to attend the festival as it's a forum to explore the best ways to collaborate and communicate the importance of our natural world while exploring various ways to conserve it.
