How is everyone getting on with this week's materials?

Hello team,

I hope your weeks are going well. Here are a few thoughts from me:

I'm looking forward to seeing your thoughts on other conservation strategies. It is up to you how you structure it, but one way could be to work through the SDWC manual/presentations. So, first your reflections on each principle and if the strategy is following them, then think about each milestone in the engaging stakeholders process, then each milestone in the situation analysis process etc. You don't need to have something for every milestone in SDWC! It would be great if you could include a link to the place where you found the strategy.

You've learnt a lot during this training and this is an opportunity to apply those skills. My goal is to make you a lot better at creating conservation strategies than me!

I hope this is going well, still plenty of time if you haven't started it. Who has tips to share with others about revision?

Warm wishes,

WildLearning Specialist, WildTeam

I'm a WildLearning Specialist with WildTeam, a bit of a odd job title. My main role is to design, deliver and organise both our online and class-based training workshops. One of the best parts of my job is meeting other conservationists and learning about the work that they do. I really enjoy geeking out reading teaching theory and thinking about ways I can more creatively and engagingly deliver learning. Before working for WildTeam I did a PhD in invasive plants and human wildlife interactions. I find it really interesting to learn about the ways people interact with nature, both when nature is being wonderful, but also when is is being a bit annoying!
