What are some of the best internships in South Africa to learn more about wildlife conservation?

Hi everyone! I'm working on transitioning into wildlife conservation but I'm not exactly sure what that entirely looks like. I'm coming from a background in program and project management, however, have an interest in broadcast journalism. Long story short, I want to find an internship in South Africa where I learn about the destruction; poaching, habit loss, etc. that is happening and help with funding/marketing/managing a project, campaign something alike! I do want to be up close with the animals in a camp, not in an office. I've been looking at Roots Interns, GVI, Africa Media, and Conservation Careers Internship/Volunteer board. However, I'm wondering what else is out there. Thank you!

Hi Mia, Happy New Year! Here are a few resources that may help: the WildHub member directory, Conservation Careers, and a general online search. More specific search queries may help find smaller, more local organizations. Did you receive more answers to your request? If you're still looking for responses, please let us know. We'll do what we can to help you find them. Would you be willing to share any outcomes? It would be great to hear about what helped you most. Thanks!
