I am planning to volunteer for 2 weeks in a African sanctuary which help the elephants. Any suggestion which sanctuary will be a good option?

Hello Monica, you can look out through this link and try to connect with a team under elephants without borders, am sure this might be of help. https://elephantswithoutborders.org/
Hello Monica, I can surely assure you that the best destination for that would be Uganda particularly Queen Elizabeth national park. It’s main tourist attraction is the African Elephant. You will not regret your stay there . There are many more animal species you would not want to miss especially the mountain gorillas. Uganda, the pearl of Africa welcomes you🇺🇬.
Greetings Monica, I have a wide range of excellent African and African Forest Elephant sanctuary volunteering options for you in various Elephant range states in Africa. All these sanctuaries focus on experiential conservation learning, implementation and practice, focusing on the Endangered African Elephant (Loxodonta africana) and the Critically Endangered African Forest Elephant (Loxodonta cyclotis). I will send the links to the various Elephant sanctuaries later this evening on my return from one of my remote wild study areas. Go well, Dr Neil Wilson.
Hi Monica, I would recommend Game Rangers International - they help rehabilitate orphaned elephants and they are a great team of people!
Hello, I would recommend Sheldrick Trust Nairobi Elephant Orphanage, which deals with orphaned elephants. check this link https://visit.sheldrickwildlifetrust.org/
That's a wonderful initiative! In Nairobi, Kenya, you can consider volunteering at the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust's Elephant Orphanage or the Giraffe Centre.
David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust's Elephant Orphanage:
Location: Nairobi, Kenya.
The David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage is renowned for its dedication to rescuing and rehabilitating orphaned elephants. They provide a nurturing environment for young elephants before reintegrating them into the wild.
Volunteers can contribute by assisting with daily care routines, feeding, and engaging in activities to support the well-being of the elephants.
Contact the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust for information on their volunteer programs and opportunities.
Giraffe Centre:
Location: Nairobi, Kenya.
The Giraffe Centre focuses on the conservation of the endangered Rothschild's giraffe. Volunteers can participate in educational programs and outreach efforts aimed at raising awareness about giraffe conservation.
Activities may include guiding visitors, assisting with feeding sessions, and contributing to conservation projects.
Reach out to the Giraffe Centre to inquire about volunteer opportunities and the specific roles they offer.
Both of these centers play crucial roles in wildlife conservation and provide unique opportunities to contribute to the well-being of elephants and giraffes. Make sure to contact them directly to get detailed information about their volunteer programs, requirements, and how you can actively participate in their conservation efforts.
