About Galen Priest
My background is in community ecology and I spent most of my academic career studying plant-animal interactions. I received my doctorate in Ecology, Evolution, and Systematics from the University of Missouri in St. Louis in 2018 and have just recently made the move from academic research to wildlife conservation. I work for a small non-profit organization based in Washington State, USA, that does community-based conservation and outreach in the areas surrounding Mt. Tompotika in Sulawesi, Indonesia.
