Project management training workshop - Week 1

Week 1 training material and useful things to know

Like Comment

This message contains the information you need for week one of the project management online training workshop. Are you feeling ready?!

Within the shared Google folder, there is a subfolder called ‘Week 1’, here. Within this folder you will find the following videos:

  1. Training workshop overview
  2. Welcome from Adam (WildTeam Executive director)
  3. Introduction to PMWC
  4. Introduction to the message board.

There are also the following PDF presentation slides:

  • Training workshop overview
  • Introduction to PMWC.

Before the first live session please can you:

  • Watch the videos
  • Introduce yourself here in the WildHub private room (referred to as the message board in the training videos).

Please note ALL future training materials for this training workshop will be sent via the WildHub message board, so please make sure you follow the link sent and get in touch if you have any problems. If you would rather not join WildHub please let us know and we will make alternative arrangements.

All the documents are nested within one higher-level folder, but because of the way that Google Drive works this isn’t always obvious. I’d recommend adding the top-level folder, here, to your Drive to make it easier to find the files. You can find more information and the link to the live sessions in the welcome document here.

The first live session will be at either
5 pm ACST /8.30 am BST or 10 am MDT /5 pm BST on the 27th of May, you can use this website to check timezones match up. You only need to join one live session a week. Please see the welcome document in the Google folder for details about the software needed for the live sessions.

If you have any questions please get in touch via email or on the message board.

Warm wishes,

Beth Robinson

WildLearning Specialist, WildTeam

I'm a WildLearning Specialist with WildTeam, a bit of a odd job title. My main role is to design, deliver and organise both our online and class-based training workshops. One of the best parts of my job is meeting other conservationists and learning about the work that they do. I really enjoy geeking out reading teaching theory and thinking about ways I can more creatively and engagingly deliver learning. Before working for WildTeam I did a PhD in invasive plants and human wildlife interactions. I find it really interesting to learn about the ways people interact with nature, both when nature is being wonderful, but also when is is being a bit annoying!
