My background is mainly in species conservation, education and capacity development. I researched mother-young interactions in gorillas and chimpanzees, in captivity and the wild. After that, I worked for three years in Indonesia, where I developed and implemented youth ambassador and community engagement programmes on local and regional scales. I obtained a PhD on capacity development for conservation and work as Community Manager at WildHub and as Head of Community at Zapnito.

Hi, Thirza and everybody
I'm happy to be part of this community.
I recently took on the position of Manager of Marine Conservation Programs at the Principe Foundation on Principe Island in Equatorial Africa.
We have many challenges here on the island. Our main program is PROTETUGA - a long-term monitoring program for 5 species of sea turtles that use the beaches of Príncipe to nest.
In addition to working with the community, we have challenges with the plastic waste that lands on our beaches.
My first big goal is to participate in the Writing for Wildlife Conservation training.
We see.
