Week 6 - PMWC 🦈

Thinking about what this training means for you and some revision.

Hello,

We are onto the final week of this PMWC online training workshop. It has been a pleasure working with you all so far.

THIS WEEK

This week's video is here. There are three main parts to it:

  1. What does this mean for your work

Learning PMWC and passing the exam is all very well and good, but it isn't that alone that will help you have an impact. One key exercise in this training workshop is reflecting on what you've learnt and thinking about how you will apply it to current and future work using this sheet. We've looked at it already in live sessions, but haven't filled out all the tabs.

  1. Mock exam

This one isn’t under exam conditions, but you can make it exam like if you want. You will be able to review your answers when you have finished. Click here to begin (ignore what it says in the video about an email). It says you need to contact me if you want to take it a second time, but I’ve changed the settings so you should not need to do this.

  1. Revision

Here is a document with revision ideas in.

EXAMPLE REPORT

As requested, I've created an example report using the PMWC. It was a good idea! You'll find it in the folder here with the other PMWC example documents.

EXAM

The exam is on Wednesday 5th August 10 am BST or 6 pm BST. We've added a second time slot for the exam on Thursday 6th August 6 pm BST. Use the normal zoom link for all exam sessions. I'll explain how it works in the live session (it is very similar to the mock exam).

APPLYING YOUR SKILLS SESSION

On the 3rd of August at 6 pm BST we are running a PMWC applying your skills session. The session is completely optional and the purpose is to help you implement PMWC theory and tools on your projects by sharing lessons learned and co-creating solutions to any challenges you might be having with project management related topics. This is open to all WildTeam PMWC alumni.

You can find further details in the WildTeam alumni room called WildThings. Access the WildThings room using this link. Please don't share this link. (You may get a message saying that you are already signed in, but you can ignore that and then enter the room by clicking here).

If you have any questions or concerns about the exam please get in touch.

With Wild Wishes,

WildLearning Specialist, WildTeam

I'm a WildLearning Specialist with WildTeam, a bit of a odd job title. My main role is to design, deliver and organise both our online and class-based training workshops. One of the best parts of my job is meeting other conservationists and learning about the work that they do. I really enjoy geeking out reading teaching theory and thinking about ways I can more creatively and engagingly deliver learning. Before working for WildTeam I did a PhD in invasive plants and human wildlife interactions. I find it really interesting to learn about the ways people interact with nature, both when nature is being wonderful, but also when is is being a bit annoying!
