- Activity identifying most likely risks for your organisation
- Health, safety, & security impacts (legal, financial, reputation)
- Identify and track ways to manage each risk
- Assess risk by likelihood and possible impact (when preparing to handle)
- Create safeguards for risks
- Written plan for managing risks and crises
- Communication & operation through process
- Practice scenarios - try to avoid crises, but know how to mitigate should they still happen
- A crisis has ability to have long-term effects
- Necessary resources in crisis: funding, reserves (related to funding), budget, skills, collaborators, staff priorities, things & people to help you continue to run
- Practice and confidence building
