I have recently retured to the UK after a working in Alderney (a Channel Island) for a year as the Ramsar Officer for Alderney Wildlife Trust. I was responsible for leading the 2019 Ramsar Programme for the marine Ramsar site off Alderney, home to two gannet colonies, breeding puffins, grey seals, guillements, gull species e.tc. I had an amazing year and am now looking for the next opportunity.

I graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2017 with a BSc in Environmental Science. After university, I travelled and volunteered as a Research Assistant for the Spanish Council for Scientific Research and gained a qualification in European Community Development, living in Seville for 3 months. I have also volunteered with Sea Watch Foundation and Shropshire Wildlife Trust.

Whilst there are limited opportunities available during lockdown, I am using the time productively to upskill. My role in Alderney made me realise the importance of project management skills and I am excited to improve these and apply them in the future.

Outside of work I love fitness, getting outside, drinking coffee and being a foodie.

Looking forward to virtually meeting you all, networking and learning together!

Hello Dani, that sounds like a really cool job on Alderney, I am a little bit jealous! I grew up in Shropshire, I never really appreciated it when I was young, but it is a lovely place.
