Join us on Wednesday 29th April as we announce the 2026 Whitley Award winners live from London. The ceremony will be live streamed worldwide, and hosted by WFN Ambassadors Tom Heap and Kate Humble with the awards presented by our Patron HRH The Princess Royal.

Whitley Fund for Nature's annual Whitley Awards find, fund and support exceptional conservationists leading community-focussed projects that benefit both nature and people. The global search and assessment is run by an expert Judging Panel. Meet the shortlisted candidates.

This year, we’ll also celebrate WFN Ambassador Sir David Attenborough’s upcoming 100th birthday. By sharing his awe and wonder for nature, he has inspired people around the world – including Whitley Award winners – to do all we can to protect our planet, for all life on Earth.

At Whitley Fund for Nature, I lead on the communications and engagement strategy, working across digital and print platforms and PR to amplify the work of conversationists and raise the charity’s profile. I've previously worked at the Natural History Museum in London, the World Press Photo Foundation in Amsterdam, and the Centre for Curating the Archive in Cape Town.
