I LOVED making this podcast episode. This film caught my eye one night when I was browsing through WaterBear Network - Diving for Rays is a wildlife documentary about the lack of LGBTQIA+ visibility with the conservation space, and how that can compromise the dreams of those hoping to get into the sector. Our planet needs all of us, so missing anyone out of the conservation movement because of who they love, or them not conforming with enforced societal genders, is yet another environmental catastrophe. I, for one, don't want to be part of a movement that excludes anyone. If you want to be a better ally, no matter what industry you work in, this is a conversation for you!

Also, @Hannah Mulvany : how can we best get in touch with Nicole, Angel and Nova? It would be great to offer them an online space to continue this conversation.

Hiya Thirza! I'm so glad that you enjoyed it! Indonesia was so many different things all rolled into one...challenging, inspiring, de-motivating, exhausting, joyful...it's going to take me a while to actually be able to summarise it without being completely confused about my feelings! Definitely an experience.

You can contact them through their Instagrams - they're all tagged in the ETH posts about the episode. I know they have an LGBTQIA+ community through the Jackson Collective, but I think it's very heavily US-focused, and this community is a lot more EU/rest of the world, so could be a good extension of the space.
