Conservation Nation Grant Opportunity
The Conservation Nation Mid-Year Grant Program offers direct funding to help save endangered animals and their ecosystems around the world by building a stronger, more diverse community of conservation practitioners.
We believe there is great conservation progress to be made in broadening the community of committed individuals working to address the global wildlife conservation challenge.
Conservation Nation supports innovative, on-the-ground conservation around the world by practitioners from underrepresented groups, such as women, people of color, Indigenous People, and those from disadvantaged communities. Our focus is helping foster conservation solutions that serve the needs of both nature and people and in terrestrial, marine, or freshwater ecosystems that support a wide range of biodiversity.
Applications are now being accepted through the end of February, 2022.
I work for Conservation Nation we are a new non-profit that relaunched in late 2021 after a long, prior history of being Friends of the National Zoo in Washington, DC.
I head up the marketing and communications along with running the grants program. Our focus is helping to make the conservation field accessible to a broader group of people and amplify those voices through our grants, education and outreach programs. My background is in program management, marketing and communications but my passion has always been in conservation and I've had the opportunity to volunteer for several conservation organizations. My two parallel paths have intersected with my role at Conservation Nation.
