As the project coordinator for Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) at the African Marine Mammal Conservation Organization (AMMCO) in Cameroon, I am delighted to have joined WildHub. This platform represents a valuable opportunity for me to connect with other biodiversity conservation practitioners and foster the exchange of experiences and ideas. My work focuses on the conservation of marine species, with an emphasis on the management and governance of MPAs. Through WildHub, I aim to establish meaningful connections with my peers, acquire new knowledge on innovative conservation strategies, and share my own experiences with the community. This enriching interaction will allow me to continuously improve my practices and contribute more effectively to the preservation of marine biodiversity in my region.

Eddy Nnanga est un ingénieur halieutique spécialisé dans la gestion et la gouvernance des Aires Marines Protégées (AMP) pour la conservation de la biodiversité marine. Avec 8 ans d'expérience, il a occupé des postes clés à l'African Marine Mammal Conservation Organisation (AMMCO) et coordonne actuellement des projets liés à la gestion de la Réserve de Faune du Lac Ossa et du Parc Marin Manyangue Na Elombo Campo. Son travail vise à concilier la conservation marine avec les intérêts des communautés locales riveraines. Eddy Nnanga possède une expertise dans la gestion des ressources marines le long de la côte camerounaise. Ses missions de caractérisation du modèle de gouvernance et d'évaluation de l'efficacité de gestion des aires marines protégées ont permis de mettre en lumière la diversité biologique des espèces aquatiques, les habitats benthiques et les zones de conflits entre la pêche artisanale et industrielle. En outre, ses activités de sensibilisation et de développement d'alternatives économiques pour les communautés côtières ont renforcé ses liens avec la population locale. Ses compétences se concentrent sur l'évaluation de la gestion des aires marines protégées, ainsi que sur l'élaboration de plans d'aménagement et de gestion.

Have you met WildHub member @Gilles Florent SORO already? He is based in Côte d'Ivoire and working as an Assistant Project Coordinator with CEM (Conservation des Espèces Marines), focusing on marine species conservation.

Hi Thirza, thank you very much for the platform, it opens up many opportunities in our field, which is not well known in Africa. Regarding Gilles Florent from Côte d'Ivoire, I don't know him yet. But I will see how to contact him and examine your conservation program. Thank you again for the tips.
