I work at The Kenya Wildlife Trust. We are committed to funding projects across the Maasai Mara, Tsavo/Amboseli and Laikipia/Samburu areas. Our flagship Programme is the Mara Predator Conservation Programme (MPCP) in the Maasai Mara which focuses on conserving large carnivores by combining scientific research with community engagement and collaboration (including children and women who are sometimes left out), as well as human-wildlife conflict mitigation. MPCP works to promote sustainable coexistence between people and wildlife in one of Africa’s most important biodiversity hotspots.

We are also keen on improving community livelihoods and sustainable livestock keeping through our Ufugaji Hifadhi Programme.

We also have a Conservation Leadership Programme where we award higher education scholarships to students to study Wildlife and Environment related courses.

I am excited to be a part of this community and I look forward to learning a lot as well as sharing my experiences.
