Hello everyone,
My name is Paul and I am currently working as a Social Science Advisor for Planet Indonesia. Planet Indonesia aims to help rural communities in Indonesia take the lead in nature conservation, by setting up locally-led governance bodies that set priorities and organise resource management. My job is to support the team with all their social science needs, which ranges from giving input on monitoring and evaluation designs, to capacity buidling for conducting interviews and writing fieldnotes, to directly working with youth teams in programme sites to document local histories.
I love my job but sometimes I wonder whether there are other people doing similar things, and where to find them. That's why I'm excited to be here!
Look forward to meeting you, do send a message,
Paul

Hey Paul, a warm welcome to WildHub! Great to have you join us.
May I ask what has been your most important learning moment so far related to your work?
I would recommend having a look at our upcoming WildHub socials (information here ) - it's a great way of sharing knowledge and getting to know each other in our WildHub community.
I am tagging @Eberechi Cecilia Osuagwu, Wildhub Advocate here too because she is leading a youth network in Nigeria who are mapping traditional ecological knowledge and history; you two may have some overlap in interests/work.
Thanks Thirza! I'll try to be there for one of the socials. Not sure what the most important learning moment has been. I think I learn a little thing every day. Maybe in the last few months, while working remotely from the UK, I have learned a little bit what it is like to be a conservationist who works on projects that s/he rarely visits in person, and the importance in such situations of good communcation channels.
Welcome to WildHub, Paul!
Thank you Lara!
A warm WildHub welcome to you Paul, good to have you join us.
Thanks Grace, nice to be here :)
