The Underwater Talks Workshop asks the question: How do we explore and engage in a dialogue with the ocean?

This workshop will dive into the acoustic world of cetaceans and explore the challenges of species communication. Over two engaging sessions, you'll first explore marine soundscapes and cetacean communication. Then, you are invited to create experimental dialogues inspired by what you've learned, combining scientific insights with artistic expression. By the end of this workshop, your project will be a unique fusion of art and science, aimed at sparking conservation action and new ways of engaging with marine wildlife.

Instructors: scientist Andreia Sousa, and artist Sofiya Shukhova
