Tonya Makletzoff

Conservation Areas Advisor, Government of NWT Department of Environment

About Tonya Makletzoff

I enjoy learning about how to effectively protect biodiversity and how to become more resilient to Climate Change with Indigenous partners. I am interested in the intersection of cultural inter dependency with ecology and how we as humans can become more reconnected to our natural surroundings and live sustainably within. This manifests itself in Protected area planning in Northern Canada at the moment with current role as an Advisor.
