Evidence Manager, World Animal Protection
" There are opportunities even in the most difficult moments"  Wangari Maathai, Unbowed. Nature and Wildlife have always been a part of me since I can remember, well, since i got curious as to why my father( Environmental Scientist) had a green and yellow pen with the WWF inscription and logo contrary with the WWF I knew( Wrestling). With over a decade of leadership experience in the pharmaceutical sector, I'm excited to apply my skills in strategic communication and stakeholder engagement to conservation efforts. I'm particularly interested in habitats preservation, human-Wildlife conflict mitigation, and species protection. I'm looking to connect with like-minded professionals, learn from their experiences, and contribute to meaningful conservation projects.

Seeking work tackling Wildlife Crime, and the Illegal Wildlife Trade

I'm a small animal veterinarian by trade but over the years have realised it's not where I need to be if I want to help make a real difference in the world.  While on maternity leave with my daughter I resigned from my job and have committed myself to finding a role in conservation. Aside from the more obvious skills you'd expect from a vet, I am a problem solver, analytical thinker, researcher, multi tasker, communicator and so much more.  I have a particular interest in wildlife crime and wildlife trade believing my background and experience will serve as an asset in these fields. I am open to networking, advice and opportunities.  Please get in touch.
Brooke Aldrich

Trustee and Director, Neotropical Primate Conservation

I started working with captive rescued monkeys in 1999 and went on to earn an MSc in Primate Conservation (Oxford Brookes University) and another in International Animal Welfare Ethics and Law (University of Edinburgh). I've worked for a number of animal welfare organizations, most recently the Animals Asia Foundation and the Asia for Animals Coalition. I've been trustee and director for Neotropical Primate Conservation since its establishment as a UK charity in 2007. I'm particularly interested in the way human and non-human primates relate to one another, and the intersection between conservation and animal welfare. I feel that it's important that these are treated as complimentary, rather than contradictory, concepts. At present I am exploring primate welfare in the context of human-macaque conflict mitigation strategies. Please feel free to contact me here to talk about this if it's of interest to you! I am originally from the US but have lived in the UK for many years.
