About Alex Simmons
I am a gardener in East London maintaining commercial landscapes and aiming to improve the biodiversity. Over the last three years I have been working at Broadgate in the City of London and received multiple awards for Biodiversity and Sustainability and excellent working practices in Horticulture.
I have been experimenting with rewilding my allotment in Walthamstow while trying to grow different crops sustainably. By introducing a pond, we welcomed frogs and newts within a year and believe one of which was a Great Crested Newt.
I am incredibly passionate about the environment and wildlife and it is my goal to work on a rewilding project in the UK such as Knepp or Heal.
