About Angus Whyte

I am currently a student in Ecological Surveying, at the Scottish Rural College. This is a part-career change for me, as I am semi-retired from my job as a Senior Research Data Specialist in the Digital Curation Centre, University of Edinburgh. My professional background is in Information Science, and for the last 15 years that has meant delivering applied research, advice, training and consultancy in the area of data management. I am taking a step back from managing projects in that area and, as it is a long time since I had any project management training, I aim to refresh my knowledge so I can better contribute to projects in a conservation setting. I hope in the near future to apply these skills to help monitor how development projects are impacting on biodiversity.
