Communications and Engagement Officer, Lancashire Wildlife Trust

Hi there, I am Molly and I am a Communications and Engagement Officer for Lancashire Wildlife Trust in north west England. I have had an affinity for wildlife and the outdoors my whole life. I studied Geography and later completed an MSc in Environmental Management. I have volunteered for various projects and organisations in the UK since I was a teenager doing a mixture of community engagement and habitat management, which helped me land my first paid role in 2016 as a trainee on an ecotherapy project at Lancashire Wildlife Trust. I have worked there ever since, gaining a variety of skills and experience in outdoor education (formal and informal), forest school, writing content, handling press enquires and even hand-rearing orphaned red squirrels to return to the wild. My current role involves engaging people in activities around wildlife and prehistoric archaeology, so I have gained an understanding and some skills in landscape and experimental archaeology too. I am excited that Wildhub connects people from across the world to share best practice and ideas and I really look forward to getting involved; learning from others and contributing where I can. As well as exploring nature, I love history, bushcraft, whittling and spend a lot of my time doing either DIY or playing with my dog.
