Children's Book Author, Hayley Rocco Books

I'm a children's book author with a focus on creating books that ignite passion and curiosity for wildlife and wild places in young readers. "If we care about animals, we'll want to protect them." I'm looking to connect with professionals who are studying and/or are actively helping in advancing wildlife conservation efforts in general. I am also a beginning nature photographer with a passion for capturing the unique personalities of each animal I see. (That's the goal, anyhow!) I've had a lifelong passion for animals and want to learn all I can and share what I can with young readers, hopefully inspiring the next wave of conservationists, naturalists, scientists, etc.!
Bethany Tomlinson

Conservation Officer, RSPB

Conservation Officer for the RSPB Cambs/Beds/Herts area, appointed 2020. Working outside of our reserves to achieve conservation outcomes and support the progress of our Fens Priority Landscape aims. We focus on a few key priority habitats (predominantly wetlands and farmland) to increase the amount of land well-managed for nature (following the Lawton Principles of bigger, better and more joined up) to improve the status of a number of key species associated with these habitats (e.g., Turtle Dove, Black-Tailed Godwits). We work within and around our reserves with landowners / land managers - work of which I currently facilitate the Ely Nature-Friendly Farming Zone, a cluster group of nature-friendly farmers, and engage with and provide advice to our Operation Turtle Dove stakeholders creating or maintaining habitat for Turtle Doves. 2019 graduate from Bangor University with a first class degree in Zoology with Conservation, MZool (Cons) and an MSc distinction in Conservation and Land Management (MSc).
