About Facundo De los Santos

I recently graduated with a degree in Biology from the National University of La Plata (UNLP), and this year I am beginning my PhD in Natural Sciences at the same institution. My work takes place in the Herpetology Section of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Museum (FCNyM) of the UNLP, where I am part of a research team specialising in herpetofauna conservation.

My interest is especially in amphibians. The possibility of mitigating the damage caused by major threats, such as the introduction of alien species, habitat fragmentation, and climate change, is directly related to my PhD thesis project in Argentina.

Going forward, I am deeply committed to continuing to improve my skills and establishing effective conservation strategies for amphibian species in Argentina.
