About Finn Harrigan
Hi! I am a recent graduate from Durham University where I studied Biology and specialised in ecology, evolution and genomics. I am fascinated with all things biodiversity and an avid wildlife recorder for a wide range of taxa. I have a great passion for public engagement and science communication, founding and acting as co-president of the Durham University Natural History Society during my last year at Durham. This year, I am saving up for my Masters at Kew and Queen Mary in Plant and Fungal Taxonomy, Diversity and Conservation, while trying to gain as much experience as I can. I have a few local projects that I am very excited to be getting involved with involving chalk streams, chalk and neutral grassland, public engagement and DNA barcoding. I look forward to gaining the skills and knowledge from this course to benefit my current and future work, as well as meeting others in the course and learning about their work :)
