About Francy Forero
My name is Francy Forero Sánchez, a Colombian primatologist. I did my master's degree in Biodiversity Conservation and Sustainable Development at IPÊ, in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Currently, I work as a director assistant in Proyecto Tití, a non-profile organization that works with local partners and communities to protect the critically endangered cotton-top tamarin, a one-pound monkey that is found only in the tropical forests of Colombia.
My job is to support educational program activities, forest protection and restoration, the creation of community empowerment programs, and field research to ensure that Cotton-top Tamarins are preserved in their natural habitat.
