Research and Conservation Manager, Save The Snakes

About Hiral Naik

Hello! I’m Hiral, a herpetologist and conservation biologist with a focus on snake ecology, conservation and education. I currently work as the Research and Conservation Manager for Save The Snakes working on various exciting snake research, education and conservation projects in South Africa and around the world. I completed my PhD in the Alexander Herp Lab at the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa in 2025. My research focused on the behavioural ecology of venomous snakes and how this contributes towards snakebite incidences. I also co-host an awesome podcast on herpetology: SquaMates!
