About Isabella Cortes Lara
Isabella Cortés Lara is a Colombian artist, activist, and environmental leader, known as Isabella Endémica / ISAVIBE. She unites art, music, fashion, tourism, spirituality, and conservation, empowering rural and indigenous women as biodiversity guardians through Women for Conservation.
She has trained over 100 women worldwide as Water Guardians, led sustainable livelihood projects like Endémica Collection, and serves as ambassador for the endangered hummingbird Eriocnemis isabellae (Zamarrito del Pinche), listed on the IUCN Red List.
A multidisciplinary artist, Isabella paints murals across high-conflict regions, integrates pre-Columbian and Indigenous motifs with endemic wildlife, and designs mobile environmental classrooms like the Rana Chiva, supported by the Mohamed Bin Zayed Species Conservation Fund and showcased at COP16 in Cali. She also directs ISAVIBE music projects, audiovisual productions, and cultural events, and leads Endémics Colombia SAS, a sustainable tourism and conservation enterprise.
Her work reflects a bold vision: uniting culture, creativity, and conservation while centering women as stewards of the land and preserving Indigenous wisdom.
