Prospective University of Cambridge MPhil in Conservation Leadership Postgraduate Student 2023-2024 , University of Cambridge
Experienced in driving nonprofit community engagement and development across multiple audiences for NGOs, institutions, corporations and foundations. As a storyteller, relationship builder and lifelong learner, I'm committed to understanding audiences to meet and exceed their needs. My experience across multiple organizations with vastly different strategic goals demonstrates my nimble and resilient working style, as well as my commitment to projects and functions of team strategy. I seek to address and remove barriers to conservation education in underserved communities, and work alongside community members to understand and address important, conservation, socio-economic issues.
My career started as a volunteer diving with Coral Cay Conservation in Fiji, which got me hooked to become a marine biologist. Currently, I'm working as a marine scientist for an environmental consultancy (5OES) based in Oman, which I've done for the past 14 years. My work encompasses marine environmental monitoring, baseline surveys, conservation and research projects plus training. I studied for my BSc in marine and freshwater biology at Aberystwyth University and then an MSc in marine environmental protection at Bangor University, UK. In between working for 5OES I have also worked with the Dept. of Environment, Cayman Islands Government as a field research assistant. I'm a PADI Assistant Instructor as well as an AMSO Instructor (https://www.amso.ae/) My interests include sea turtle conservation & rehab, cetacean research & rescue, coral monitoring & research, plus outreach & education. I love travelling and have had the fortune to work in the Caribbean, UK, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE and Fiji where I've met some wonderful people in the field.
Brand strategy, communication and marketing consultant. Passionate about sustainability, environmental conservation and wildlife lover. I'd like to contribute my knowledge and experience to give nature a voice and advocate for ideas and actions that raise awareness of the challenges we face and accelerate change towards an inclusive, fair and sustainable world.
Currently based in Madrid but originally born and raised in Colombia
Independent Nature Conservationist Film Maker.
I'm a WildLearning Specialist with WildTeam, a bit of an odd job title. My main role is to design, deliver and organise both our online and class-based training courses. One of the best parts of my job is meeting other conservationists and learning about the work that they do. Before working for WildTeam I did a PhD in invasive plants and human-wildlife interactions. I find it really interesting to learn about the ways people interact with nature, both when nature is being wonderful, but also when it is being a bit annoying!
