Joshua Da Cruz

Natural Heritage Officer, Living Levels Partnership, RSPB

About Joshua Da Cruz

I currently work as a Natural Heritage Officer for the Living Levels Partnership. This organisation is dedicated to conserving the Gwent Levels, a historically siginificant habitat with 8 SSSI sites. I am responsible for liasing with partners such as National Resources Wales along with stakeholders such as farmers in order to best manage the area. I am also in charge of developing a citizen science project to record species present in the area.

Alongside my full time job I volunteer at Bristol Zoological Society as an engagement volunteer. Here, I have the chance to talk to volunteers about the conservation projects and animals of the Bristol Zoo Project, along with taking part in wildlife surveys with their conservation team.
