For over a decade, I have dedicated myself to the conservation and research of orangutans, spanning across the rich ecosystems of both Borneo and Sumatra. Currently serving as Programme Manager Indonesia, my focus revolves around forest protection, employing a holistic landscape conservation approach. With a PhD in Anthropology, my journey involved immersing in the Indonesian jungles for over five years, meticulously gathering behavioral data primarily on orangutans, as well as other primates. My passion lies in enhancing the effectiveness and sustainability of conservation efforts. I am interested in innovative community development methods, alongside the integration of cutting-edge technologies for forest restoration, and the robust monitoring and evaluation of project impacts.
I am a Venezuelan biologist who has done little fieldwork, mostly dedicated myself to teaching science in the past. Currently working for this NGO I have given the opportunity to support with fundraising for their various projects. It is exciting to be part of Provita's mission and fulfill my life's purpose. I joined WildHub to strengthen my capacities and learn new skills so I can be of more help to conserve my country's wonderful nature and get involved in their programatic activities.

My name is Tania Akhter, Recently I completed my MSc. from Zoology department (Wildlife and Biodiversity Conservation), Jagannath University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. I have been working with wildlife for five years, especially with primate in different protected area in southeastern Bangladesh. I am looking for PhD and for why I am preparing myself by gathering research based knowledge and taking training that I feel need to implement in the field of wildlife conservation. I always like to shared my research knowledge and gather knowledge from others.

Previously, I was working with BirdLife International on forest governance issues and in my previous life I worked in the development sector in the United States. Education-wise, I have studied economic development, international relations as well as tropical forestry in the past.
