I am a Botanist and conservation enthusiast from the Kenyan coast currently working with local communities to help restore the degraded biodiverse East African Coastal Forests. 

Uchenna is a Chartered Environmentalist, University Lecturer and on secondment to IFAD-funded LivelihoodImprovement Family Enterprises – Niger Delta (LIFE-ND) Project as Abia State Project Coordinator, a board oftrustee-member of Future Generation University, USA; Chairman - Abia State Chapter of Nigerian Environmental Society (NES); with a doctoral degree in environmental forest ecology. He has over 20 peer-reviewed academic publications, and an international development professional with over 22 years and hasworked at least once in each Nigerian state as an Independent Development Consultant. Also, he hasprovided development consultancy services in India, Nepal, United States of America, Rwanda, Cameroon,United Kingdom and Namibia. Recently, he participated as the Nigerian representative in a-global research titled ‘Developing indicators of Peace’,  piloted by Future Generations University in collaboration with the United States Institute of Peace. Uchenna’s skills include an in-depth understanding of community working systems in developing countries;linking policy analysis and emerging issues to plans; understanding of pro-poor and gender issues indevelopment, an excellent team player, good interpersonal, report writing and communication skills.

As a promoter of culture and diversity, Gerald Nkusi is a travel ecopreneur with Adventure Afrika and founder of Home of Kigezi (a Museum of Living Culture and Natural History), Nkunga Eco Village, and the Food Forest Africa movement. His roots and home are in Kisoro, a part of the Kigezi region in Uganda. Starting as a waiter trading long nights of work for education at the famous Makerere University 2006 and a US Exchange Alumni-IVLP 2017, he has transformed into a local and global actor in the cultural heritage and conservation space. Gerald's Food Forest Africa movement is revolutionizing the use of small and waste spaces for food, health, education and environment to help counter food insecurity, poor nutrition, and the degradation of natural resources. 

My name is Nyiramugisha Jennifer from Kisoro a South western part of Uganda within the Virunga trans-boundaries with Rwanda and Democratic Republic of Congo. I offer professional services in the hospitality industry and currently based at Travellers Hotel one of the Oldest and most Celebrated Historical Eco conscious facility within the Gorilla neighbourhoods of Uganda and Rwanda.  I also serve on a governing team that supports all the stakeholders within the Kigezi Tourism Association Umbrella Network. Am an enthusiastic conservation Biologist at early stage of my career. I have been involved in social-ecology including conservation education campaign targeted at young kids over the years as a resulting of working with Better Earth Foundation. I have conducted scientific research around human utilization of wildlife resources around conflict environment.  In addition, i have passion for ornithology, plant and animal interaction as well as vegetation assessment. Am a member of Jos Bird club, Nigeria bird Atlas project (NiBAP),  as well as alumni of APLORI and TBA scientific writing and publication.

Madagascar Fauna and Flora Group (MFG), a conservation organisation operating in Toamasina, Madagascar and employing over 100 Malagasy staff. My task is focus on organising and conducting community workshops and capacity building within MFG’s target areas in Madagascar, conducting field and laboratory research using contemporary methods, techniques, and materials, in collaboration with international collaborators, coordinating community-led management of Asian toads (a pest species in Madagascar), coordinating and conducting data collection via community surveys and citizen science to quantify socio-economic impacts of Asian toads in Madagascar, Leading teams of volunteers to conduct field research and community outreach and Managing field data and drafting reports. 

I am Marjan Maria, a young and ambitious wildlife biologist also a proud mom to a baby girl from Bangladesh. I am passionate about conserving the biodiversity of my country and protecting its endangered species. I am particularly interested in the behavioral ecology of primates and herpetofauna. I have researched the Bengal slow loris, Phayre's langur, hoolock gibbon, and other endangered species in Bangladesh. I have also worked on developing conservation strategies for these species. I am also interested in the impacts of road infrastructure on wildlife. I am currently working on a project to study roadkill in primates and other animals in Bangladesh. I believe that wildlife conservation is essential for our planet's health and future generations' well-being. I am committed to working to protect the biodiversity of Bangladesh and to ensure that its wildlife can thrive for generations to come. I am eager to learn and grow. Lead in world of true conservation and promotion of humanity .Stephen has 17 yrs experience of managing successful conservation projects in Kenya's Tsavo conservation Area. Coordinating the implementation of community based conservation projects engaging the marginalized communities living alongside the northern border of Tsavo National Park to promote economic resilience, through establishment of Community Banks and enhancement of gender equitable and sustainable livelihoods and foster human wildlife coexistence through community engagements as conservation champions. Stephen understands the behaviors and values required for conservation success and the importance of partnership and collaboration with like-minded stakeholders to synergize conservation efforts . His key competencies include Project management, Species conservation, Law enforcement, conservation education and social inclusion.

I'm a coral reef ecologist who's left academia and now runs a video production company in London. Our work spans films of all kinds but our main passion and focus is in creating documentary film and meaningful visual stories for charities, projects and people that are trying to make the world a better place. We've spent the last 5 years working on some amazing projects from a BBC World documentary following the miraculous recovery of an 80 year old explorer from COVID, who then went on to climb Cornwall's largest mountain. More recent projects include a week long trip to the mountains of Portugal where we were following the work of a local NGO who's fighting the rising wildfires through the planting of native woodland and trees.  I'm open to speaking with and collaborating on projects across the world to use our skills to help tell stories that matter. 

I am a third-year student at African Leadership University pursuing a Bachelor of Global Challenges degree, graduating in June 2024. I'm passionate about working in the environmental and wildlife conservation industry to use skills gained from my tertiary education and make a difference as a research professional. I am a young career multidisciplinary scientist with a Bsc Fisheries and Aquaculture and highly interested in sustainability options including wildlife conservation and environmental protection. I also have professional experience in international development, fisheries and Aquaculture, research and climate change mitigation and adaptation awaiting my first assignment as a technical expert reviewer of the UNFCCC.
