About Shakira Todd

Founder and Managing Director of Wildlife Surrounds Conservation Centre and Project Officer at NQ Dry Tropics I completed my Bachelor of Science (Zoology) degree at James Cook University in 2010 and hold a Certificate III in Conservation and Land Management. I have over ten years of experience in environmental management and conservation and land management. I have worked as an Environmental Scientist, Zoologist, Park Ranger, Project Manager, Field Coordinator and Environmental Technician in a variety of environmental science roles in north Queensland and Victoria. These roles allowed me to develop expertise in weed and pest control, re-vegetation, flora and fauna surveys, ecological burning, and wildlife relocation. My core area of expertise is Zoology, and my extensive experience coordinating conservation projects has provided me with a strong understanding of the principles of conservation and natural resource management, and relevant local, state and federal environment legislation.
