The search for the next Whitley Award winners is underway!
Do you know an outstanding grassroots conservation leader who could accelerate their impact with £50,000 in project funding, alongside professional development, international recognition, and access to a global peer network?
The Whitley Fund for Nature is seeking mid-career conservationists who are working alongside local communities to deliver measurable conservation impact and are ready to take proven solutions to the next level.
We are looking for dynamic, mid-career conservation leaders who:
- Are leading evidence-based conservation projects;
- Are embedded in the local community;
- Are nationals of the country where they work; and
- Have demonstrated measurable success and are ready to scale up their impact.
We welcome applications that focus on both species and wider ecosystem level conservation across marine, terrestrial and freshwater.

I lead Whitley Fund for Nature's grants programme. We support a growing network of over 200 grassroots conservationists globally with access to funding, connections and publicity. Previous to this role, I worked for Galapagos Conservation Trust for over seven years across project management and operations/finance. I hold an MSc in Conservation Science from Imperial College London. I am passionate about habitat restoration, the conservation of endemic species and inspiring the next generation of conservation leaders.
