Whether you’re a career switcher, student, professional conservationist or landowner, this course gives you the confidence to understand, support — or even begin — rewilding projects in your own landscape, studies, or career.

You’ll explore the essential theory, practical tools, and real-world case studies behind this dynamic and hopeful approach to nature recovery — all grounded in the latest thinking, best practices, and global frameworks developed by leaders in the field, including Rewilding Europe, Rewilding Britain, and the IUCN.

By the end of this short course, you’ll be able to:

  • Understand what rewilding is – and how it differs from traditional conservation.
  • Explore the global principles and ethics that underpin the rewilding movement.
  • Examine real-world case studies, from wolves in Yellowstone to wild horses in Europe.
  • Assess the ecological, social, and economic benefits (and trade-offs) of rewilding.
  • Gain insight into planning and monitoring rewilding projects using trusted frameworks.
  • Discover your own role in rewilding — whether as a student, practitioner, landholder, or advocate.

How it works:

  • Self-paced learning over 6–10 hours.
  • Split into six engaging modules + final assessment.
  • Modules are released weekly over six weeks so you can follow along step-by-step, or catch up in your own time.
  • Includes interactive quizzes, real-life case studies, and curated resources.
  • Earn your Certificate in Rewilding upon completion.

The training is open till 1 May 2026 for Enrollment.
