Sorabi Rock: "The Art of Real-Life Conservation"
Dear Everyone,
I hope you are having a wonderful morning.
I am doing research for my PhD on the behaviour and cognition of Nile Monitor Lizards on a beautifully utopian field site in South Africa. As a method of repaying this kind generosity I am trying to help them advertise this wild field course: "The Art of Real-Life Conservation", and this inspirational filming and research field site to interested academics and university students across the globe.
Would you be able to recommend places or groups that I can post this within without causing any sort of nuisance or academic faux pas?
More info: As a field site this biodiverse backdrop is a perfect setting for a wide-range of MSc, PhD, or Post Doc research projects. There are brief species lists available in the attachment, but please contact us to enquire about any species you are interested in or to discuss the possibility of any potential research questions.
If the field site cannot cover at least part of its out-going costs in about 3 - 6 months, it will be sold. Which I feel would be a substantial loss to the protection of the many threatened species it currently hosts and keeps safe.
So, any advice, ideas, or contacts you can recommend would be greatly appreciated.
The monthly costs of the wild field course are: £1400, • including self-catering accommodation that can house up to 2 people in each chalet, • weekly transport into the local town of Hoedspruit for food and supplies, • an off-site activity each week with community wildlife organizations such as the PNHF (learning anti-poaching and wildlife safety techniques), • a supervisory team is on-site to provide 24/7 assistance, field orientation, teaching, learning outcomes, and all supervision or guidance required.
If you have any questions, ideas, or advice, it would be hugely appreciated. All the very best wishes and thanks, Cleo Grieve BSc. MSc.

Looking for Online Fundraising Courses for Nonprofit
Hi everyone, I am keen to learn how to fundraise for my environmental nonprofit and also to develop the skill personally to further my career. Does anyone have any online course suggestions (I cannot find any in-person courses where I'm based) that walk you through the basics and also provide some useful assessments to test myself out?
Thanks a bunch!
