Hi Everyone!!!


Greetings from  Malaysia - Borneo.  I'm Marcie and my job is as Senior Officer at a plantations company under Sustainability Unit. I am responsible to manage and to overlook any conservation matter within our plantations which involve improvement in our conservation management. Part of our conservation initiatives are monitoring, patrolling, restoration, research and assessment, awareness program, engagement with communities as well as partnerships with relevant parties such as the Wildlife Department ,Forestry Department and also local or oversea universities.

I am looking forward on this training to learn more knowledge or skills that will be shared. My personal interest is wildlife management as well as restoration of riparian areas.

Joins Wilmar International Ltd. as Biodiversity Assistant Manager (Sabah region) in October 2012. I manage and overlook the High Conservation Value (HCV) areas within Wilmar Sabah oil palm plantation and to oversee any matter related to conservation such as HCV Management, monitoring, wildlife survey, encroachment issues, training awareness, socialization and also research. My interest is managing on restoring the riparian reserve within oil palm plantation landscape.
