I joined WildHub to familiarise myself with effective conservation measures, particularly in monitoring and evaluation and to network and connect with experts in conservation.
I am currently working as a Species Conservation Officer at BirdWatch Zambia and I am based in Zambia.
I hope to gain connections with peers , experts and basically anyone on the platform who enhances my career prospects in conservation.
I hope to explore different perspectives of conservation and learn from others on this platform. I also wish to share my first hand experience working in conservation as well as share lessons learnt from my work.

Welcome to WildHub, Mary!
Thank you Lara!
A warm welcome to the community Mary! Thank you for sharing your introduction also; it's useful to learn which connections and knowledge you are looking for.
If you enter "monitoring and evaluation" in the search bar at the top of our platform, you will find different members who work in this space and also content that may be relevant to you, for example this lessons learned piece by member @Salisha chandra named "Impact measurement in conservation: key lessons"
I would also recommend you to join our WildHub socials (there is one today at 4PM GMT+1) to get to connect with conservation experts. You can RSVP here.
Hi Thirza,
Thanks for the guidance. I hope to explore more to get the best out this platform.
@Marrian Tendai Rwizi : in your role as WildHub Conservation Catalyst, perhaps you can help Mary share her lessons learned from her work with our community?
Welcome Mary, it would be nice to learn from your conservation experience as a Species conservation officer at Birdwatch, Zambia. Any particular species you're working on now?
Hi Grace, many thanks. I have been heavily focused on African Vultures, particularly those occurring in Zambia.
Happy to connect with you.
Great Mary, we've been working on vultures as well due to the belief-based risk they're facing in West Africa. We can have collaborations. Let's keep in touch, cheers
