Greetings, everyone. I am Mehran Khan, representing Pakistan. I am a MS candidate, with my current focus directed towards the study of ectoparasites infesting animals, including wildlife, as well as the pathogens associated with these ectoparasites. The implications of these ectoparasites and their linked pathogens for wildlife are potentially adverse. My objective is to play a pivotal role in wildlife conservation by systematically identifying these ectoparasites and the corresponding pathogens they carry.

A warm welcome to WildHub Mehran! What did you do before your MSc, if I may ask?

@ADITI SHARMA : your interests may overlap with Mehran's perhaps? I will leave it to you two to connect.

A great way to get to know other WildHub members is by joining one of our monthly WildHub socials (we have two today actually, at 12.15PM and 4PM GMT+1 - would be great to see you there!). See for more information here: https://wildhub.community/events/upcoming

Thank Loffeld.

I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology (BS Zoology) and subsequently completed a Master of Philosophy in Zoology (MPhil Zoology). During my studies, I recognized the significant threat posed by ectoparasites and their associated pathogens to wildlife. Consequently, my research during these degrees focused on the study of ectoparasites infesting wildlife and the pathogens closely associated with them. This effort is evident in my theses and research articles centered on this important topic. At present, I am actively exploring opportunities to pursue a PhD and continue contributing to this field of study. I would like to attend the upcoming event.

Mehran, welcome. Good to have you join us. Not too many people delving into parasitology and public health for wildlife in my Country, it would be great to learn from you.
