I am currently curating an in-person Conservation Sciencetelling bootcamp this September themed  "Conservation and Society" and further explored under three different sub-themes. The bootcamp is mainly focused on multimedia storytelling (photography and film).  In a snapshot, here are the objectives of the proposed bootcamp;

  • Develop an in depth understanding of multimedia storytelling for conservation through photography and film.
  • Initiate a strong and long-lasting community of Conservation Storytellers and Science Communicators passionate about addressing conservation challenges through photography and film. The bootcamp aims to induct participants into the growing community of African Conservation Communicators, further benefiting from mentorship opportunities.
  • Develop among participants a core understanding of conservation at the nexus of communities. Conducted through the theme; Conservation and Society, the bootcamp will unpack through three sub-themes the context of people centred conservation.

I would be happy to connect with folks interested in supporting, advising/co-shaping the concept. Do reach out to me by mail; aiitajoshua47@gmail.com

Cheers,

Aiita

This is awesome @Aiita Joshua Apamaku. Conservation and Society are enhanced through several different avenues and I am pleased to see this innovative approach of BootCamp, the multimedia storytelling. I would be honored to support where I can,  hoping to catch up.
