In Rwanda, snakes are among the wild animals most likely to be killed whenever someone sees one. In many cases, they are killed not because they have harmed anyone, but because of a widespread belief that killing a snake earns God's forgiveness for seven sins. As a result, snakes are often viewed as symbols of Satan.

My name is Mugiraneza Eulade and I'm from Rwanda 🇷🇼🇷🇼. I am a passionate conservationist with an Advanced Diploma in Wildlife and Conservation Technologies and hands-on experience in wildlife tracking especially chimpanzee, youth mobilization in climate action and environmental protection as a Green Rising Ambassador. I completed a professional internship at Nyungwe National Park, where I participated in a park-wide chimpanzee monitoring survey, enhancing my field and research skills.
Currently, I’m pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Wildlife and Landscape Management to deepen my expertise at the same time working as Park Ranger at Nyandungu Eco-park.
