About Camille Coudrat
Camille is a strategic conservation leader and founded the Association Anoulak (www.conservationlaos.com) in 2013, dedicated to biodiversity conservation in the Annamite Mountains of Laos, mainly in Nakai-Nam Theun National Park (NNT NP). As director, she has developed and managed programs in biodiversity research, anti-poaching, conservation education, and community livelihoods, building a team of eleven Lao nationals. Her research has focused on endangered species of the Annamites, contributing to over 10 peer-reviewed papers. She established anti-poaching patrols in NNT NP, employing 36 local villagers, and launched a handicraft program that empowers communities with income and skills in resource management. Camille also co-published books to raise awareness about the conservation importance of the region. Her current goal is to build capacity among Lao youth and support grassroots organizations in Southeast Asia.
