About Blaise Binama
I graduated in Botany and Conservation at the University of Rwanda (UR) in July, 2016. I served as the president of the Rwanda University Club for Conservation of Biodiversity (RUCCB) for two years. Directly after my graduation, have shortly worked with the Center of Excellence in Biodiversity and Natural Resource Management (CoEB). In September 2018, I received a Master’s degree in Biodiversity and Collection Management at Technical University of Dresden/ IHI Zittau, Germany. Subsequently, I have been trained in different aspects of global biodiversity by Natural Historical Museum of Goerlitz, Senckenberg.
As a publicspeaker, I hold a certificate in Leadership and Public Speaking skills awarded by Toastmasters international in late 2016. In 2016-2017, I was a member of committee for young Scientists in Senckenberg Institutions, Germany. Since July 2019, I am a PhD candidate at University of Bielefeld, Germany. My research interest is on the “Establishment of invasive plants (Bunias orientalis)”.
